Concrete Weight Coating (CWC) for Line Pipes and Joints (In-Situ and Ex-Situ)

KELDORI SERVICES LIMITED offers a premier solution for pipeline protection with its Concrete Weight Coating (CWC) for line pipes and joints. This specialized coating is designed to ensure negative buoyancy, making it an ideal choice for offshore pipelines, as well as river and road crossing applications.

The CWC is applied using a state-of-the-art compression wrap method, which maintains the integrity of the anti-corrosion coating while delivering superior concrete density tailored for challenging estuarine conditions. This method ensures a uniform application, providing a robust and durable shield against physical and environmental impacts.

KELDORI’s commitment to excellence is evident in our strict adherence to international standards and detailed project specifications, ensuring that each coated pipe meets the highest quality and safety benchmarks. With KELDORI SERVICES LIMITED as a major player in delivering the NNPC-AKK Gas Pipeline Project in the area of In-situ CWC, our clients are assured of a product that delivers in performance, longevity, and reliability, securing the infrastructure that powers our world.

Application Methods:

  • Ex-Situ Coating: Off-site application of concrete on pipelines, typically performed in a controlled factory environment.
  • In-Situ Coating: Application of the concrete coating directly at or near the installation site, such as a staging area or along the pipeline route.
    • Mobile Plant/Field Application: Specialized, containerized mobile plants are moved to the site, allowing the application of concrete in close proximity to the project area.
    • Spray-on/Guniting: Similar to guniting for pools, concrete can be applied on-site for specific, small-scale, or urgent projects.

Advantages of In-Situ Coating:

  • Logistics Savings: Eliminates the need to transport heavy, pre-coated pipes over long distances.
  • Flexibility: Ideal for remote locations or when immediate, on-demand coating is needed.
